A few unanswered questions.......
The recent murder of a young business man in Kerala and the drama flowed is what made me write this post. Since I am not sure about the incidents which lead to the murder and the only information I have about this murder is through the media(read.. manipulated and corrupted). It is not fair from my part to talk much about it. But as a laymen with ‘a little common sense’ I can say 4 sure that… what Kerala witnessed as an official press conference about the incident by the police officers ,was a badly scripted drama. [yeah..the script writer was for sure a fool enough to let others know that…the entire thing is a cock n bull story..sure the creativity of IPS officers are not up to standard…...may be reading a few Agatha Christie novels can help…;)..]
Well, in this highly corrupted world this small incident is no wonder, we have already seen many worst things n will be seeing more in future( that’s why even the purana’s call this time period as ‘kali kala’ no wonder!!!).But this incident made me think about many aspects about today's world ,we claim every day we are in 21st century,the human kind has developed –both culturally n socially,if this is true then ,is this how we behave???
Killing a civilian(whoever he may be) in a brutal way n then protecting the killers by beautifully crafting a story n playing drama in front of public, that too by the one who is supposed to protect the people??? What they think of us…we are just fools paying taxes on time for their salary and get entertained by the drama played by them?? Is this what we call democracy??
Is this what a cultured man do?? Killing one another just like animals…then what is the difference between an animal and human being?
(According to the police department there are many ‘quotation groups’ in Kerala .Quotation groups- people who are trained to kill for money. You have money? well, u can kill anyone just dial the number of a “goonda” leader ,it will be done neatly in a well planned way.Scared about law ? Don’t worry nobody is gonna ask you. When the law makers and implementers are the one who breaks it... who is there to ask??).
This is happening in a state which takes pride in the high education level. Heard that the most infamous goon leader is highly educated. This makes me think what is education? What kind of education is the highly cultured humans (ie we) are giving to our kids?
Questions are endless…but answers for all these….???? Well even that becomes a question now…funny enough!!

Let us hope for a new beginning.............
Last post I was expressing my concern over the lack of unity and the domination of small local political parties and the "divide and rule" policy of certain political leaders. But I think my concern was somewhat ruled out by the recent election results. I hope finally India is realizing the importance of the 'stability' of ruling goverment and the important role of 'development' in a nation's politics than anything else. I believe the UPA's surprising win was the result of their agenda to concentrate on common man who comprise the major percentage of our nation. If we check the political pattern of last few decade we can see no political party could sit in the ruling side twice easily, but this time the UPA could change that tradition and proved people want them to continue for a better future of India. Though the third front posed a threat of forming a "card castle" in pre election stage ,the congress overcame that with a startling majority.
If we go through the previous term of UPA we can find that they were serious about their businsess and were concerned about their image and were comparitively better than any other goverments ruled us recently.They seems to realize that common man is India and not just the imperial minority, the policies for farmers and unemployed were the examples for this.They also seems to give importance to the economic and overall development of India; the stable economy of india in this recession and the civilian nuclear deals are the examples for this.The tactful foriegn policy is also noticable though I have a concern regarding the national security( we can not easily forget the mumbai episode and the time we took to resolve it) .But I should appreciate the goverment over their reaction to Pakistan over the issue, they could have blown the situation out of proportion through any step against Pakistan, but the diplomatic stand amid American pressure saved us from a nasty war.And they clearly took effort to keep a clean image by keeping corruption at check the result was zero major scandels.
Now what we have to look forward is whether they can keep up to our expectations or not, when I say'expectations one thing the new goverment must understand is,it is not just about mainataining but about improvement........let us hope they will....................

Poli'tricks' -Part 2
In my last post I stressed about the need for a solution for all dirty politricks. And atleast one or two of u were ready 2 share ur thoughts and I am grateful for ur RESPONSE. Yes “response” it’s a the word I must give importance, as we know every living thing has the ability to respond in one way or the other and this helps them to interact and survive in the world they are living.
Among all living ones humans are gifted with the best systems to respond, but are we responding to things happening in our surroundings?????
If we respond in the right way do we have to watch this ongoing drama and exploitation of these self motivated and self oriented political parties?????
Don’t you think we can put an end to this by using our right to respond?
Yes we can.
But the saddest part is that we are becoming a bunch of living body mass with a partially paralyzed brain which is able to process only one thing "self gain". In pursuit of fast track life n career goals we reduced to a species who say “impatience is new life”. And we don’t care who rule us, who eat up the tax we pay or what happens to the country as far as we are getting what we want.
Actually the government of India is formed and ruled by“we the people” atleast according to the Indian constitution, but apparently this ‘we the people’ don’t have a business in the government now a days, instead it is a circus performed by certain number of clowns. We are happy in blaming the politicians and political parties for everything happening. But aren’t we responsible for this??? Don’t u think we are the one who left open our safe for the thief to loot including me –the one who is writing this. And the answer is a big YES again.
When the 3rd phase of Indian parliamentary elections were over yesterday only 50% of the total population cast their votes and the caste 50% also torn away in name of endless caste, and religion in India. So again we are going to witness the political parties with minority support led by selfish individuals fighting like stray dogs to loot us ie the majority; with out our consent, and we are just watching them and wondering what is going on.
We are not realizing that the clowns are ruling us, using an old weapon given to them by the British – “the method of divide and rule”. They are dividing our valuable votes in the name of religion and caste and never let the majority rule us. So we are never be able to express what we want or who we want to rule us.
So what is the solution for this?? We can find a solution, only if we know the reason why it is happening and the reasons are two mainly,
1. Lack of response
2. Lack of unity due to the caste and religious reasons
Now we diagnosed the disease so what is the cure??? Wait for the next post……………..

Poli’tricks’ ,I PL and Us
No, I didn’t spell it wrong it is poli’tricks’ not politics. The politics and democracy of 'swaraj' India is not what we are having today. It is the poli’tricks’- the tricks and tantrums of a bunch of shameless greedy herd. I will say today’s Indian politics is like an IPL match, a bunch of new age businessmen piling up money by fooling and entertaining the mass and making them asses by manipulating their love for the country or community. And we, the common man is sitting in the stadium worrying about the game going on and cheering them up without realizing the fact that end of game is already planned and whether the team win or loose the actual lose is ours.
Now we are at the door of an exciting new season of games-the parliament elections. And all the teams already started their practice sessions and advertisements through media. Recently we witnessed a series of parades held by different teams. When one called it “nava Kerala yathra” another one named it as “Kerala mochana yathra”. Then there was fierce debates on various media channels analyzing the past- victories, performances, strengths, and weakness, biting off each others head, to get a piece of lime light and finally to spice up the things there were catfights and drama in the house, and on the stage. Like a reality show it is telecasted everyday in episodes like the one in “Big Brother”.
So what u think, do we have to watch this game of politricks when it brings us no good and only bad things? And when all the players are the same and they change only in the name and logo? Are we casting our valuable votes for this shameful drama they present?
Is there any end for this? Can we make a change?.......the questions arise are endless …….what answer’s you have let me know . I have some solutions too ,may be in next post…….

Terrorism and Patriotism,a search for truth........
It was on a Sunday afternoon while having a heated debate on terrorism and patriotism the idea of blogging blown into my head. My “patriotic” friend was sticking to his point like fevi stick and was challenging my opinions by telling I am having a moon child act ( it’s a new usage it means stupid idea of a child who believes that he can actually catch the moon by leaping higher )hmm…..that’s a kind of insult I am not a CHILD! At least not a stupid one!! now I really have to find out what others think of the same topics then only I can continue the debate on our new topic “am I into moon child act (I hope at least one moon child will be out there to support me, anyway I am not bothered much because India is a democratic country and minorities are powerful than majority):-
Ok, before entering to my topic of the day I would like to say that in coming days my “urban thoughts” are going to be on diverse subjects varying from serious social issues to love, film and fashion and all the stuff we youngsters like under the sun, in order to please my all category friends varying from gismo geeks to “book sleepers” (one who uses books as sleeping pills) like Ani the great.(ani is one of my good friends and one of the greatest day dreamers I have ever come across)
Patriotism and terrorism
In the light of 26/11 attacks I have seen many of my friends turning patriots and showing anger and frustration over what happened in Mumbai on that fateful day through blogs and social net working sites such as orkut by changing display images or adding comments. First I thought it is some kind of fashion or trend setting in. In the world of reality shows and news channels that run high drama sop serials on each and everything I couldn’t think the other way around. What I believed was Patriotism is only for all those 60 plus uncles who still cherish their memories of old “swaraj” I never thought that the urban face of new “shining India” had the time to ponder on patriotism surprisingly I was WRONG. But what shocked me is the level of frustration and the anger shown by them. 80% of them believed in “an eye for an eye” kind of theory. Terrorism and bomb blasts are not new to India, we suffered the impact many times but this time Indian youths are ready to go to any extreme to protect their country. At first it seemed like a good lesson for me I even repent the moments I debated with my father saying that no youth is going to be a patriotic in this world of globalization and everyone will give priority only to the growing world not their country. So loving one’s country is good thing, Patriotism is a good thing, but is there anything dangerous about it?? They say anything in excess is dangerous, so can patriotism also be dangerous??
To find an answer for this I started searching about patriotism and terrorism and I came across some interesting facts.
First of all what is patriotism and who is a patriot?
A person who loves, supports, and defends his or her country and its interests with devotion is a patriot.(Remember the Mel Gibson Movie the Patriot)

What is terrorism? Who is a terrorist?
The word definition for terrorism is ‘the use of violence for the political aims’
Then who was Chandra Sekhar Asad a patriot? Or terrorist? You may be wondering why I am asking such a question. You want an answer then keep on reading……..
If we check the world history one can easily find that we always justified the negative side of patriotism to protect our own interest for centuries, right from the development of human society. Those who loved their country and died or killed for the country were always treated as heroes. In schools we were always been taught to love our country and to protect our country. When some one attacked our country or threaten our peace we called them enemies, or terrorists and we fought back and always raised our voice for world peace. Now you may be thinking what is so negative or bad about all these?
Have we ever thought why there is always violence in this world? Why world peace is far away from reality? Why we had two world wars? Why we had Iraq and afghan war? The truth is our extreme love for our country or community is the reason behind all these. I am not talking here as an Indian but as a representative of a normal citizen living in any country; I can be an American or African or Palestinian or Iraqi. We know terrorism in its full context started after the Second World War when world was going through economic and social turmoil. When small countries decided to fight for their freedom using weapons I will say they were unknowingly paving the way for terrorism. The word definition for terrorism is like I said ‘the use of violence for the political aims’ now some of you may disagree with me saying that when a country try to protect freedom it is an act of patriotism but I cant see much difference between these two because again the definition for patriotism in dictionary is “a person loving his or her country especially one who is ready to defend it against an enemy”. I am sure jihads, Pakistanis and Taliban they all love their country and ready to defend against any one. They can be called terrorists or patriots?

I don’t deny the fact that one should protect freedom and Mahatma Gandhi’s non violent “sathyagraha” was an act of patriotism because it never included any violence. So it is not about protecting freedom but the way we choose to do it.
So far all the powerful nations were manipulating the meaning of patriotism and terrorism according to their interests. When America fought for freedom in 18th century that was an act of “patriotism” but when Cuba demanded their share they were called “terrorists”. When Sri Lankan army killed thousands of innocent people in LTTE controlled areas it was an act of patriotism when the LTTE did the same thing they are terrorists. Palestine and Israel are another black mark in the world peace they are also loving and protecting their countries. What more to say India and Pakistan and all terrorism are all about a strip of land called Kashmir. For Indians those who demand Kashmir are enemies or terrorists and if we take military action against Pakistan it is an act of patriotism but what Pakistani’s should call us? Patriots or terrorists????
Now all of you are going to cry out in loud voice that we Indians never did a massacre in Pakistan as those ten terrorists did in Mumbai but if we conduct a war on Pakistan as we did before (1966) we shouldn’t forget that those “who are going to die are also human beings” like the one died in Mumbai that night. Just because the fact that they belong to the other side or they are trained soldiers doesn’t mean they should be killed or punished. Their love for their country is unquestionable from their point of view.
So what is the solution for this tricky situation? I will say cosmopolitan policy and Non-Violence. What is this cosmopolitan policy, cosmopolitan means free from local, provincial, or national ideas, prejudices, or attachments; that means belonging to the entire world; not limited to just one part of the world. No walls separating us like country or community. If there are no borders why we should fight each other?? Can’t we fight together against common enemies like poverty, or drugs and antisocialists?? If we check we can find almost all countries are spending huge amount on defense. What if we have a world government and no army? Can’t we use this money on better investments like agriculture or education??
I know most of you think the world government idea is an utopian idea, with current political situations I agree with you but don’t forget the fact that world is changing.If a person of African origin can be American president I am sure this is also possible in near future. What we have to do is to educate and lead the new generation in the right direction. Let us erase all violent stories from our history and hope for a bright new future.
